Web sites - academic The content of this web site is strongly influenced by the thinking that has emerged from the Rethinking Project Management (RPM) Network. The network is now closed, but many of its documents are available from a legacy web site.
Another influential forum for new thinking about project management has been the series of workshops entitled Making Projects Critical (MPC). Information about these workshops can be found on the MPC web site.

The International Journal of Project Management (IJPM). A Special Issue of this journal - Rethinking Project Management (vol 24, no 8) edited by Harvey Maylor - is the main academic output from the RPM Network, containing papers by leading academics and practitioners who participated in the Network. Making Projects Critical by Damian Hodgson and Svetlana Cicmil (eds) was published by Palgrave in April 2006. This book is a compilation of a number of important academic papers that advance current thinking about projects. Many of these were originally presented at the MPC workshops (see 'web sites').
